Maria Freienstein pilgrimage church
The Maria Freienstein pilgrimage church is enthroned on a rock plateau above St. Peter-Freienstein. Built in the 17th century on the ruins of the medieval castle of Leoben, it has been an important place of pilgrimage in Styria for centuries. The baroque high altar and the ornate miracle paintings are particularly worth seeing. The church is open on weekends and public holidays from Easter Monday to the end of October.
Mountainbiken
